Akriti Kakar's Profile :
Akriti Kakar is an Indian playback singer. She got her formal training in Indian Classical music from her mother and Guru Late Shri Byomkesh Bannerjee.
Akriti attended the Springdales School in New Delhi. She moved to Mumbai to pursue her career in music. Her first stage performance was at the age of 5 in a national talent hunt called Sangam Kala Group. She was a member of the Kalyanji - Anandji troupe called "Little Wonders and Little Stars". She participated in and won the 1999 Sa Re Ga Ma PA National Talent Hunt (Junior / Children's Special), a music competition on Zee TV. She was also the winner of the BPL Music Mania on Jain TV. She was crowned the winner of various national talent competitions organized by Sangam Kala Group in Delhi.
She made her debut as a playback singer with the song “Chham Se Who Aa Jaye” in the film Dus (2005). She has sung for various Hindi films such as Chupke Chupke (2006), Namastey London (2007), Shakalaka Boom Boom (2007), Red (2007) etc.
She has sung in various Pop albums like Ek Sapna, Punjabi Pop Dhamaka 2000 and Baby Doll Chapter 2. She has also released her debut solo remix album called A.Teen. She is a also a V.J and has hosted various shows on ETC, a music channel. She has given several stage performances also.
